Roughly a year ago, during a long over-due catch up in sunny Brisbane, we decided to start a blog. Both toying with the idea to do it individually but never taking the plunge, we both realised the power in numbers. Having someone to share the load, many hands make light work, two heads are better than one - and all those other wonderful cliches - were great reasons to join forces and share our favourite things with the world.
Just like us, this blog reflects the chaos of our everyday lives. Even the name was a chaotic decision! When we decided to go ahead, of course we only had one day left to get organised and there it was - pulled out of the air like nobody's business. But it's stuck. And it definitely fits!
A year in (where has it gone?!) and we finally got to see each other in person again - to reflect and plan for what's next (and of course, an impromptu photoshoot!). We have so enjoyed building Chaotic Favourites, to be able to stay connected and support each other. Mostly though, we have enjoyed our readership. We have so many loyal people who not only click on our content, but who leave us the most encouraging, thoughtful and generous feedback. We are forever grateful for your ongoing support. Which brings us to there here and now, and where we are going. We are turning to you as a call to action:
What do you want to see from us?
We've put together stories and posts that we think you'll enjoy, and here are some new ideas:
- video chats (eep!)
- DIYs
- cooking and recipes
- book club
- travel
- current events (Elouise promises not to get too political)
We welcome all and any thoughts you might have - it might not have crossed our minds! Leave us a comment below or via our Facebook page.
Again, thank you for the love and encouragement - we are so grateful for all that you do (and enjoy our photoshoot - big shout out to Cee and Terry for letting us ransack their beautiful house, to Max for taking our photo direction so well and to Tilly for being a patient, adorable little soul).

Happy birthday Chaotic Faves! I'd love to see your cooking tips and recipes and maybe some.... historical tidbits?
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
History! Of course! We might need to get a guest historian on board... Know any? :p
